So, I'm blogging again because of the very recent death of Slipknot's bassist, Paul Gray.

I'm sure you know how big of a Slipknot fan I am.

I have no idea who I'm talking to.

Anyway, Paul Gray was found dead in his home in Des Moines, Iowa, early this morning (Singapore Time) at the age of 38. Cause of death has not yet been revealed.

I'm absolutely depressed because I've never gotten the chance to see Gray and Slipknot live.

They were in Singapore back in '05, I wasn't into Metal back then.

Now that Gray's gone Slipknot won't be the same, ever.

Dio's death was also another death that was a huge blow to me.

If you don't know who Ronnie James Dio is, one, you can go to hell and two, he was the man who popularized the "Devil Horns". You know, this - \m/ or \,,/, whichever floats your boat.

He was also the frontman of Black Sabbath after Ozzy was fired. (I think).

The band name was then changed to Heaven and Hell because that was the first Black Sabbath recording to feature Dio on vocals instead of Ozzy.

Heaven and Hell was here in '07.

And again, I did not attend because I was not into Metal at that time.

Dio had fought a long battle with stomach cancer prior to his death.

Months before his death, I heard he was doing great in Chemotherapy.

One day before, I was on a forum and saw that the rumors of Dio's death was false.

I was so happy.

Then the next morning, I woke up to shocking news.

Dio had passed away.

My heart just fucking sank.

Less than 12 hours ago, I was glad to hear Dio was not dead.

(Note, I knew he was not dead, but I did not know he was in a very bad shape.)

But a few hours later, Dio dies.

July 10 1942 - May 16 2010

It was truly an honour for such a legendary musician to have performed in Singapore.
